Stary Mokotów is definitely one of the most beautiful and green districts of Warsaw. No wonder that it is as popular among people looking for a flat as Żoliborz or Saska Kępa. The main advantages of this area are numerous green areas (Pola Mokotowskie, Park Morskie Oko, Park Dreszera), excellent and quick access to the center (metro, trams and buses), numerous pubs and service points, as well as large areas of land with low, single-family buildings. After all, Stary Mokotów is simply beautiful.
These advantages of Mokotów mean that whenever a property for sale in this area is included in the offer of my company Crystal House, I know that the transaction will be relatively quick. In the second part of the text, I will show you an amazing apartment in this area, but first I will briefly tell you about Mokotów.
Why is it worth living in Stary Mokotów?
Mokotów has many advantages that tempt potential residents with. Below, I present to you my top 5 that make Mokotów a great place to live.
1. Parks and common greens
I did say it before but this is something that should be emphasized: Mokotów is extremely green. Pola Mokotowskie, Park Dreszera, Park Morskie Oko, Park Arkadia, allotment gardens – Mokotów gives its inhabitants a breath, even though it is basically located in the city center. Walking along the charming streets with low-rise buildings you can even feel like in a suburban town.
2. Cinemas and theatres
Kino Iluzjon, Teatr Nowy or Teatr Guliwer – these are just a few examples of the temples of culture that you will find in Mokotów. Mokotów is known for its rich cultural life and is in no way inferior to Śródmieście.
3. Charming eateries
Whether it is a lazy breakfast, a working lunch, a quick afternoon coffee or a gala dinner – Mokotów has something for everyone. And again: compared to Śródmieście or the increasingly popular Old Praga, Mokotów has nothing to be ashamed of.
4. Sports facilities
In terms of the availability of sports infrastructure, Stary Mokotów occupies a leading position among Warsaw districts. One of the two publicly accessible Olympic swimming pools in Warsaw is located here. One of the longest bicycle paths in Warsaw also begins in Mokotów. Numerous outdoor gyms and spaces adapted to sports are an additional bonus.
5. Low noise level
Although the district is crossed by streets such as Al. Niepodległości or Puławska, inside the street blocks the noise level is surprisingly low.
A spectacular penthouse
And right here, in the magnificent Old Mokotów district, there is a penthouse that I would like to show you today. It is a real pearl among the properties I sell and I must admit that such an apartment is a rarity.
The two-level apartment has 400 m2, so its size is more like a house than a flat. Considering what amenities it has and how it was finished, you can safely call it a house on the roof of the city. The two terraces offer a beautiful and uninterrupted view of Warsaw.
On the first level there is a living room with a fireplace, TV part and a library, as well as a dining room, an open plan kitchen, a bedroom with a bathroom, a dressing room, a toilet and a utility room.
On the second level, there are three bedrooms with bathrooms (including one with a dressing room), one independent dressing room and three icing on the cake: sauna, gym and swimming pool!
The apartment has been finished to the highest standard.
Price tag: 9 900 000 PLN.
