Ferrari Roma: Small but edgy

La dolce vita! The designers of the latest model from the Maranello factory must have been inspired by the carefree 1950s and 1960s. The Ferrari Roma looks quite alike the cars that were driven on the streets of Italy half a century ago, but do not be fooled by its retro look – the car is über modern.

Small but great

In terms of size, the Ferrari Roma is one of the smallest cars by this make. It is 4.65 m long, almost 2 m wide and only 1.3 m high and it weighs 1472 kg. The designers retained excellent proportions of the body and the Roma has a long slender bonnet and a massive back resembling e.g. the Ferrari Daytona.

What’s under the bonnet?

Ferrari never disappoints. The Roma boasts having outstanding performance. It is powered by a turbocharged 3.9 l V8 engine. The maximum torque is 760 Nm, and it has 620 HP. Owing to this, the Ferrari Roma accelerates from 0t 100 km/h in 3.4 s and to 200 km/h in 9,4 s. Its maximum speed is an impressive 320 km/h.

Comfortable Gran Turismo

Despite the excellent performance the Roma is not a race track car. It is rather a quick and comfortable toy for affluent people who love speed and luxury. The car is great for longer drives as the designers made sure it is comfortable to use.

The interior perfectly matches the concept of a luxury super car. Leather, alcantara and lots of sporty elements inside make the car “the best of both worlds”. The steering wheel is also fitted with displays for the driver, and there is a touch control screen and a mini-display for the passenger.

The price tag

It is not yet known when the car will be available for sale. However, based on what was said during the premiere we can expect that the price of the car will not be as high as for other Ferrari models and that Roma might just become one of the best-selling cars from the Maranello factory.
